Should I exfoliate the area before getting sugared?Yes, gently.

Will the hair grow back darker and coarser? With sugaring, your hair will grow back thinner and many clients report a noticeable reduction of hair growth. When choosing body sugaring as your hair removal choice, your first three appointments are the most important. It is important that your first three sugaring sessions are booked fairly close together. If you are planning to use sugaring to soften and reduce hair growth, regular sugaring treatments result in slower growth of hair and is thorough. Many find that sugaring is less painful and in most cases lead to permanency. Using razors or depilatory cream between appointments will interfere with the goal of diminishing your hair growth. Please exfoliate and hydrate your skin regularly between sugaring visits. Proper aftercare is important for optimal results. You will receive the best results if your skin is happy and healthy.
-
How long does sugaring last?It varies from person to person and here's why: There are three separate growth cycles for your hair. On your first sugaring visit, we get the first, second, and part of the third growth cycles of your hair. Once returning to get sugared two or three times, we start getting all three hair cycled out at the same time. As you continue to get sugared regularly, you will be able to go longer periods of time between your sugaring.
-
What makes sugaring different than waxing?Sugaring is longer-lasting, exfoliates while removing the first layer of dead skin cells, and is 100% pure and organic. It is more sanitary because there is no double dipping. Additionally, shorter hair can be extracted. Sugaring is water-soluble and easy to remove from clothing.
-
How long will my Brazilian appointment take?Your first appointment can take between 15 and 20 minutes depending on how long your hair is and if you have been waxing or shaving. Generally speaking, your maintenance appointment will last only 10 minutes or less.

Is sugaring safe?Yes! Sugaring is all natural and generally consists of sugar, lemon juice, and water. • Our sugar is warm and never hot so there’s no need to be concerned about being burned. • Sugaring wraps itself around the hair shaft making it pliable and gently encourages the extraction of hair deep inside the follicles. • Sugar is bacteria resistant. • You will notice how clean and soft your skin feels after sugaring.

What should I do after my treatment?Clean all makeup brushes and makeup supplies used on the face before re-applying any makeup. To prevent ingrown hairs, we recommend exfoliating daily and moisturizing. It is very important to exfoliate and hydrate your skin. If you cannot exfoliate daily, we recommend you exfoliate your skin every two to three days to remove dead skin cells and to avoid ingrown hairs. Do not forget to moisturize your skin and hair follicles and keep them hydrated. All products that we recommend can be purchased in spa after your appointment. Please plan to avoid activities that may lead to excessive perspiration. We recommend avoiding those activities for at least eight hours. Remember, your follicles and pores are open, and for this reason, we want to prevent bacteria in the form of sweat. It is recommended you not have sex for at least 24 hours. Avoid hot tubs and swimming pools for two days following treatment. Your skin is still sensitive. There is an increased risk of developing a bacterial infection with open pores.

Should I do anything different before my sugaring treatment? Please do not sunba, take baths, swim, use hot tub, or a tanning bed for 48 hours prior to or after any sugaring or waxing treatment. Please avoid putting moisturizers on the skin 24 hours before the treatment and 12 hours after the treatment. Clients that are premenstrual experience more skin sensitivity. For sensitive skin, apply ice cold compresses 2 to 3 times for about 20 minutes at a time to take away the sting and reduce redness. Typically this is not needed as any discomfort subsides right after the appointment. Take care not to use perfume soaps or products with chemical irritants within 24 hours of your treatment.
